Datacenter Engineer (Rechenzentrumstechniker) (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Support of the IT infrastructure (racks, network, server and storage systems) at the DC locations in close cooperation with the responsible departments
- Installation and deinstallation of all systems in the racks
- Cabling of active and passive IT components
- Maintenance of the CMDB of the data centre infrastructure management system (DCIM)
- Creation of process documentation
- Coordination and support of external service providers and technicians in the DC areas
- Process and quality controls to ensure compliance with security and availability-relevant specifications, standards and best practices
- Support with DC-relevant audits/assessments and preparation and provision of required evidence
- Willingness to take over the weekly 7x24 hour on-call duty (“Pikettdienst”)
Profile
- Highly reliable and accurate working style and experience in providing services in critical DC infrastructures
- Expertise in the provision of DC-related hardware installation services (racking / cabling / decommissioning / documentation) as well as in the associated incident and problem handling procedures
- Proficiency in ORIGEM (Sunbird DCIM Solution) / Silva (Service Now)
- Fluent speaking and writing skills in German and English
- Valid Driving Licence (Car)
