Responsibilities
- Refine and adapt frame-CAD files for integration of EC lenses, flex cables, and PCB sub-assemblies
- Define and coordinate system-level testing protocols to evaluate mechanical robustness, switching performance, and electrical integrity
- Support in design-for-assembly, routing of electrical components within limited space, and contact placement
- Explore options to manufacture (e.g. perform 3D printing prototyping and coordinate with externals)
- Coordinate with external design studios and internal optics/electronics teams to ensure feasibility of design updates
- Execute and document test plans, contribute to test fixture concepts for later automation
Profile
- Experience in mechanical and electrical system integration for small-form devices (e.g., preferably smart eyewear, or alternatively earbuds, or AR/VR components)
- Skilled in CAD modification (Catia, SolidWorks) and tolerance management for tight assemblies, especially for smart eyewear frames
- Knowledge of flex cable integration, PCB housing, and micro-connector alignment
- Strong background in system-level testing and validation (optical, mechanical, electrical)
- Understanding of EMC, connector reliability, and optical alignment in wearable systems
