  • Foresco DK, a subsidiary of the Belgium-based Foresco Group, specializes in wood pallet and packaging solutions. The company focuses on buying, repairing, restoring, and reselling used wooden pallets, as well as producing new pallets and custom industrial packaging. In 2024, Foresco Group acquired STEA A/S, a prominent Danish supplier of wooden packaging solutions, to strengthen its presence in the Scandinavian market.
  • Foresco DK's product range includes:- Used Pallets: Buying, repairing, restoring, and reselling wooden pallets.- New Pallets: Limited production of new pallets.- Packaging Solutions: Large wooden crates, boxes, and custom industrial packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing performance metrics to ensure accountability and drive continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Leading and mentoring direct reports, the GM will foster a culture of leadership and accountability, ensuring that managers are equipped to meet their objectives.
  • Regular engagement with production teams will allow the GM to understand operational challenges firsthand and implement practical solutions.
  • Identifying and exploring new business growth opportunities will be a continuous task, ensuring that STEA strengthens its market position in Scandinavia.
  • Regular communication with Foresco’s leadership will keep them informed of business performance, strategic initiatives, and any emerging challenges.
  • Finally, the GM will drive pricing strategy improvements to maintain profitable sales margins while ensuring competitive market positioning.

Profile

  • Hands-on leadership: The ability to actively engage in operations, understand workflow inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong financial acumen: Must be able to control costs, improve financial transparency, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Restructuring experience: Experience in leading restructuring efforts and implementing efficiency improvements.
  • Self-starter and independent thinker: The ability to take initiative, proactively solve problems, and work autonomously with minimal direct oversight.
  • Strong communicator and team motivator: The ability to motivate employees, drive cultural improvements, and create a performance-driven workforce.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented: The ability to quickly assess EBITDA-impacting factors and take corrective actions.
  • Adaptable and resilient: The ability to handle pressure, make quick decisions, and remain calm during challenging business cycles.
  • Growth-oriented and opportunity-driven: The ability to identify long-term expansion opportunities and position Foresco DK as a key player in the Scandinavian market.
  • 5 – 10 years of management experience with proven results of succes.
