Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Sales Engineering activities of the Nordic DAF dealer-network.
  • Guiding the Sales Engineers at the dealers and increasing their technical knowledge by having Trainings (Live or via Teams).
  • Processing Pre-Order Validations (POVs) for non-standard orders and where required, requesting structural solutions (Inquiry-process).
  • Providing input to Product & Services Planning department about the requirements for new applications of DAF trucks in the Nordic region.
  • Providing technical training to the salesforce of the DAF dealer-network and to bodybuilders in the Nordics.
  • Advising dealers and body-builders on modifications of chassis and mounting of bodies, and obtaining approval to perform these activities, in close cooperation with the central Sales Engineering department.
  • Monitoring and communicating technical and engineering market-trends to the DAF organization and Nordic DAF dealer-network. 
  • Assess the implication of future legislation and advise the Marketing and Homologation department of DAF accordingly. Including applications for national derogations and implementation of EUCARIS

Profile

  • You are commercially driven and have several years of relevant working experience in the automotive industry (knowing the DAF-organization and having experience with DAF-products, -services and –systems is a plus.)
  • You have a supportive attitude, understand “customer first”, can work independently but are a real team player, stress-resistant and representative.
  • You have outstanding communication skills in Danish and English, both written and speech, towards internal as well as external stakeholders. Additional languages are a plus (Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish).
  • You are able to persuade people based on knowledge and bring added value to dealers and customers.
  • You are able to define priorities and “pick your battles”, with a keen eye on the short and long term.
  • You understand what it means to be the “spider in the web”, with daily contacts to dealers and customers externally, as well as towards other departments within DAF and your colleagues at DAF Nordics.
