Responsibilities

  • Lead and monitor clinical trials, ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and reporting of results
  • Supervise the creation and validation of methodologies and laboratory services
  • Develop and assess innovative concepts and strategies for vaccine development
  • Take full charge of project management, including scheduling and reporting to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards in process and method development
  • Initiate research projects to enhance the innovation pipeline with novel vaccine candidates
  • Oversee multi-year, impactful projects, including planning and resource management
  • Manage a laboratory team and support the professional growth of team members
  • Establish and nurture a network of external experts and researchers
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and effective project execution through lateral leadership
  • Keep abreast of scientific developments, new trends, vaccine types, antigens, adjuvants, and emerging technologies in vaccine development

Profile

  • Educational Background: PhD in a relevant field such as life sciences or veterinary medicine, with a proven track record in vaccine research and development spanning at least 5 years
  • Technical Expertise: Profound understanding of microbiology, bacteriology, biotechnology, and analytical procedures
  • Hands-on experience with fermentation techniques and the growth of intracellular bacteria is highly valued
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated capability in managing complex projects and leading teams, with more than 5 years of leadership experience
  • Exceptional problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong collaborative mindset, integrity, and excellent communication skills
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English; German language skills or a willingness to learn are advantageous
