Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Procurement Execution Strategies for assigned investment projects.
- Oversee end-to-end commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management, and contract closeout for:
- Goods: Process equipment, electrical equipment, AHUs, black utilities pumps & valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps & automation systems, and spare parts.
- Services: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical & cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering, and planning.
- Actively manage the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely reporting, risk identification, and mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including:
- Project procurement team (buyers, order managers, contract managers)
- Procurement management & category management
- Project or Program Directors/Managers, engineers, and subject matter experts
- Key third-party collaborators (EPCM, EPC, main trade or equipment suppliers)
Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Capex project/procurement management, preferably in the pharma/biotech sectors.
- Proven experience in plant construction and procurement, sales, and contract management.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Strong team player with the ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams.
- Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
- Technical training (ETH or FH) or similar in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering is an advantage.
