Responsibilities
- Define and develop material group strategy / Coordination of global procurement activities / Maintain article master and maintenance of supplier data
- Selection and qualification of new suppliers
- Development, evaluation and optimization of a suitable supplier portfolio
- Independent conducting of contract and price negotiations in an international environment
- Analysis and realization of savings potential / Optimization of methods and tools to continuously improve the purchasing process
- Development and implementation of product group/supplier strategies
- Management or assistance in procurement and relocation projects
- Operational processing of supplier complaints, change notifications and initial sample orders
- Minimization of procurement risks
- Participation in value analysis and development projects
Profile
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification
- Experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in a global role or managing a complex supplier base
- In-depth knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis and market trends. Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and eProcurement tools an advantage
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of reducing procurement costs and improving service levels
- Ability to analyze complex data and derive strategic recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization and when working with external partners
- Fluent in English, German is also an advantage as also additional language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
